Dear Kristen,
My son Lucas will turn three in three weeks and has DS. I was astonished when I saw your documentary. I am a Master’s level occupational therapist and I too dealt with much in the early days by submersing myself in research. Everything from vitamins, antioxidants, supplementations, the Institutes,Tomatis and early literacy I too have introduced to Lucas as an infant. Today, his pediatrician is astounded, though not willing to place the successes on our chosen path. Lucas taught himself the map of the US with my older son’s interactive map. He can read over 250 words, and his last cognitive test was within normal limits with his biggest strengths memory and ability to learn new material.
I hope you know this comes from a very genuine place, I love you and your family – this road is exciting and lonely. I can not wait to devour your book and look forward with anticipation our next great discovery!
